The film begins in the middle of a forest at night. Police officers Morton (Michael Bowen) and Giles (Joshua Cox) are transporting criminal Krug (Garret Dillahunt) to prison. Krug requests for them to stop so that he can piss, but they refuse. The car stops at a railroad crossing while a train passes through. Suddenly, a truck crashes into the car. Two masked people get out of the truck and walk over to the car. These people turn out to be Krugs brother Francis (Aaron Paul) and Krugs girlfriend Sadie (Riki Lindhome). Giles, extremely bloodied, is still alive and so Sadie shoots him in the head. She then frees Krug and kisses him. Krug asks Francis about his son, and he says that hes okay. Morton is also still alive, though badly injured. Krug strangles him with his seatbelt and they all wonder what Mortons thinking about as hes dying. Francis steals Mortons money, though some blood drips on it. Krug gets Mortons picture of his two little daughters and says that Morton is thinking about what hell never see again. Krug finishes Morton off.

Elsewhere, Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) is swimming in a pool as her mother Emma (Monica Potter) watches. After Maris swim, she asks her mother what her time was. Emma says that it doesnt matter, and says that they should start their vacation. Emma picks up her husband, Dr. John Collingwood (Tony Goldwyn), at a hospital after hes through with performing a surgery. The Collingwoods drive to the forest to spend their vacation at their summer house. Mari, driving, comes to a fork in the road that has a Lake Ends In The Road sign. She turns left and remarks how ridiculous the sign is. The family arrives at the house and starts to unpack their belongings. Mari chooses to stay in the guesthouse, which is a little walk away from the house. It turns out that Mari had an older brother named Ben that died last year. Its clear that the parents have still not gotten over his death. Mari goes to the boathouse and goes for a quick swim. She then gets dressed and wears a necklace that Ben gave her. Emmas brother, who recently stayed in the house, has left Emma and John a bottle of wine as a token of appreciation. While John tries to fix the broken microwave, Mari asks her parents if she can borrow the car. She wants to go into town to visit her friend Paige. Emma thought that they could enjoy a nice family meal together, though John gives Mari the keys and a wad of cash to have fun in town. The only thing Emma asks is for Mari to call her when she gets to town. John and Emma plan on having a nice quiet romantic dinner together.

Wybie is a little surprised that his grandmother agreed to rent to the Joneses; usually she tries to find tenants without children. Later, he gives Coraline an old ragdoll that he found at his grandmother's. The button-eyed doll looks strikingly like Coraline. He tells Coraline that his grandmother had a sister who disappeared as a child, and that he's never been inside the house.

Street Fighter: the Legend of Chun Li

The film begins with a shot of the Golden Gate Bridge, as Chun-Li (Kristin Kreuk) does a voiceover about her childhood. We see the young Chun-Li (Inez Yan) playing the piano, while her father Xiang (Edmund Chen) encourages her. Adult Chun-Li talks about how all parents have dreams for their children, and that her father's was for her to be a concert pianist.

Chun-Li and her family move to Hong Kong, and she reflects on how she knew her father did important work, but never really knew what it was. One day, she sneaks up on her father practicing martial arts in the yard, and he offers to teach her Wu-Shu, which then becomes a passion of hers. Through a montage, we see her age (now played by Katherine Pemberton) and become a skilled fighter.

One night, her father returns home from work and is ambushed by Balrog (Michael Clarke Duncan) and some goons. He does a decent job of fighting them off, until Chun-Li comes downstairs, and Bison (Neal McDonough) arrives. In exchange for the safety of his family, Xiang agrees to go with Bison, and the audience is left to assume he is killed.

Skipping forward again, Chun-Li is now an adult, and an accomplished pianist, having studied at Juilliard. After a concert, she receives a mysterious scroll, but temporarily ignores it to return to Hong Kong and visit her mother, Jeanne (Emilze Junqueira), who is dying of illness.Meanwhile, Bison has moved to Bangkok, where he grew up in the slums, and hosts the criminal bosses of the city for dinner. He calmly announces that he is taking over Shadaloo, the criminal enterprise, and suggests the bosses recognize his authority to make things easier. The bosses are offended, and storm out angrily, where Vega (Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas) is waiting to kill them. Bison eats his dinner and shows no emotion, hearing the sound of the bosses being killed. The next day, the heads of all the crime bosses are found, arranged on a dinner table, by a Thai police squad led by Det. Maya Sunee (Moon Bloodgood), who is met by Interpol agent Charlie Nash (Chris Klein). Charlie flirts with Maya, and then tells her she's inherited a huge problem (Bison), whom he's been tracking but has never been able to catch.

Chun-Li's mother dies, and after the funeral she goes back to the mysterious scroll, taking it to a woman who can translate the ancient Chinese it is written in. The woman tells her that she needs to seek out Gen (Robin Shou), former criminal who now defends the poor and defenseless. The emblem of Gen's organization is the spider and its web. In order to find Gen, Chun-Li needs to go to Bangkok and live like the poor people who live in the slums.
